
Mel (she/her) is a multicultural and queer artist. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Art Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College. She has studied gender, sexuality, intersectionality, ancestral lineage healing, and the use of creativity as exploration which have all formed her foundation as a practitioner. She aims to incorporate spirit, sincerity, and play in the shared space.
Working in tandem with her clients, Mel follows their lead in support of their day-to-day and future goals. She is committed to empathetic relating, mindful reflection, and working in conscious cooperation with individual needs and desires. She trusts her clients to know what’s best for them, and is grateful to be able to provide sessions meant to honor and expand each person’s self-knowledge and emotional toolbox.
Mel’s professional interests of hers include narrative therapy, positive psychology, mindfulness-based techniques, dream work, and somatic experiencing.
