We offer couples therapy for adults who are navigating relationship challenges, disconnection, and/or challenging relationship/communication patterns. Unlike individual therapy, couples therapy involves working directly with one of our highly trained providers who will work with you and your partner(s) to understand your unique backgrounds, both as individuals and as a couple, what you hope to gain from therapy, and what underlying struggles brought you to therapy.
Our providers are trained to support a wide range of relationship structures including long-term relationships, LGBTQ+ relationships, polycules, open relationships, interracial relationships, interfaith/non-faith relationships, blended families and more.
Our couples therapy is based on the Gottman Method of couples therapy, a highly regarded and highly effective form of couples counseling that is designed to help couples learn to communicate and foster closeness. This research-based form of therapy is one of the most widely used couples therapy methodologies, having helped an estimated 38 million relationships through more than 135,000 Gottman Method-trained providers across the globe.
The goal of this therapy is to disarm conflicting verbal communication; increase intimacy, respect, and affection; remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy; and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship.
