Originally from Indiana, I have been in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Tiwa land since 2021. Prior to landing in this work with queer-identifying and neurodivergent folks, my experience has included direct support work for disabled folks and those on the autism spectrum, facilitating intensive outpatient treatment for folks with substance use disorders, supporting survivors of trauma and domestic violence in crisis, providing suicide assessment, and working in childhood mental health. I have training in Internal Family Systems, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and experiential play therapy and am currently working to become certified as a NARM™ therapist through The Complex Trauma Training Center.
My approach is driven by a strengths-based and person-centered emphasis on the value of the connection gained in the therapeutic relationship. I identify as transgender nonbinary, disabled, and neurodivergent and am continually working to be accountable for the ways in which I benefit from privilege. I am gender-affirming, trauma-informed, aligned with racial and social justice, HAES-aligned, sex and kink positive, and aligned with harm-reduction approaches. I particularly enjoy working with neurodivergent and queer-identifying folks who are looking to collaborate in a therapeutic space characterized by unconditional positive regard, safety, autonomy, curiosity, and authenticity. Additionally, I value working with folks on their journeys through trauma, including those who have been harmed by prior behavioral healthcare interventions and religious trauma. I am also delighted to facilitate our weekly free and virtual support group for trans and queer-identifying adults. Let me know how I can be a part of your unique journey!
