Lue (they/them) is a queer- nonbinary- neurodivergent- and fat- identified provider. Their approach to therapy is collaborative and “you” centered. As an art therapist, they offer creative ways to help you explore your own emotional landscape, express inner struggles, and embrace your unique magic. You don’t have to have experience or training in art to benefit from this approach; all you need is a pen or pencil, some paper, and a willingness to try something new. Combined with more traditional talk therapy, these creative outlets can help you step outside of your thoughts and connect with your more authentic self. Don’t worry, if art isn’t your thing, you and Lue will work together to find the form of healing that feels best. They believe that you are the expert on yourself, and what works for someone else may not be the right fit for you.
Lue sees the most important goal of a therapist as creating a space where you are free to exist, exactly as you are, while you work through whatever brings you to therapy. Towards this goal, they work to foster a space that is LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, kink, Consensual non-monogamy (CNM)/polyam, and fat affirming; sex and sex-worker positive; social justice oriented; trauma informed; and rooted in fat liberationist and Healthy at Every Size (HAES) perspectives.
