Basiea (she/they), is a Social Work graduate of New Mexico Highlands University. Basiea was born and raised in Albuquerque to a large hispanic family, which they say, “gives me a deeper understanding of the hispanic culture and the possibility for generational healing that comes with it.” Basiea focus largely on empowering clients to see all they have to offer in their lives and to find worth within themselves.
Basiea is passionate about working with individuals with all levels of trauma and incorporates their training in EMDR, DBT, HAES, and CBT into their work. They enjoy working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and take every effort to create a safe space that offers understanding and acceptance to everyone. Basiea also enjoys working with adolescents and young adults, and they function under the idea that young voices need to be heard and are important and should be valued in our communities.
