Ash (they/them) is an art therapy/counseling student at Southwestern College. They are committed to providing holistic, inclusive, and client-centered care. Ash’s therapeutic stance is rooted in creating a collaborative and affirming space where clients can feel truly seen. Ash works within a trauma-informed approach that encompasses art therapy, talk therapy, IFS-inspired parts work, and play therapy.
Ash recognizes the importance of play in the healing process and believes that therapy can be a space for serious self-exploration and moments of lightness and joy. They work to help others understand and express themselves authentically.
As a queer-aligned therapist, Ash understands the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ people and the multiple systems of oppression that affect those with intersectional identities. They aim to support clients in exploring their relationships and identities in an empowering and non-judgmental way.
In their free time, Ash enjoys playing video games and making art with their cat, Mia.
