Headshot of Alissa Blinder

Alissa Blinder, LPCC-S (she/they) is a queer, relational, depth-oriented therapist who approaches therapy through existential and feminist perspectives. In practice, this means paying close attention to questions of meaning, identity, and power in relationships, and helping clients understand how both personal experiences and larger systems shape the ways we come to know ourselves, others, and the world.

Clients often find that therapy with Alissa brings both clarity and relief as confusing relational patterns begin to make more sense. Much of her work involves helping people identify dynamics that may have felt confusing, destabilizing, or hard to put into words.

As a survivor of domestic violence, Alissa brings both professional training and lived understanding to her work with complex abuse and relational trauma. She is especially attuned to the kinds of dynamics that can show up in toxic family systems, high-demand groups, and certain religious or cultic environments. Her clinical approach draws from EMDR, art therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, and Health at Every Size (HAES).

Outside the therapy room, Alissa is a poet and a self-proclaimed comedian. That same mix of depth and levity finds its way into her work, where laughter and tears often exist side by side.
