Hello, I’m Alesha (she/they)! My therapeutic approach centers around meeting clients where they are, affirming their individual needs, and working collaboratively with them through the therapeutic process. Having worked with clients of all ages, I particularly enjoy working with teens, young adults, and clients who want to learn and practice a variety of new coping skills and to explore different facets of themselves. Some of the work I enjoy most is helping clients navigate issues related to gender, attachment, non-monogamy, and autistic burnout.
As a therapist, I utilize a variety of evidence-based skills and techniques including DBT, CBT, and strength-based and feminist-based approaches. My background also includes a variety of modalities including LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent affirming care, with additional training in trauma, ADHD, autism, grief, and attachment.
I received my master’s degree in social work-clinical practice from New Mexico Highlands University and my bachelor’s degree in social work from James Madison University.
