
San Canessa (she/they) is a pre-licensed Art Therapist helping adults navigate mental health challenges with curiosity, creativity and compassion. Their approach is rooted in the belief that life experiences, relationships and inner parts can become powerful resources for healing and transformation when met non-judgmentally.
San draws from expressive arts therapy and somatic practices. They support clients & experiences around identity, neurodivergence and mood regulation. Their work is collaborative and grounded in the wisdom of the body. San offers a therapeutic space to cultivate inquiry, build practical skills, and discover new ways of relating to self and others.
San is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Art Therapy at Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies and a Postgraduate Fine Art Certificate from the Glasgow School of Art.
