Daniel Guardado (he/him) offers individual and couples therapy to clients ages 18 and up. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), holding an MSW from New Mexico State University and a BA in Psychology from the University of New Mexico. He is an affable, neurodivergent-affirming and queer-affirming therapist who prioritizes building strong rapport and therapeutic alignment with clients. His office is calm and colorful, lush with plants and video game collectibles. He has particular expertise in supporting clients who are navigating anxiety, post-traumatic stress, attachment wounds, impulsivity, explorations of masculinity, and minority identity formation.

Utilizing a trauma-informed and evidence-based approach, Daniel synthesizes teaching practical grounding skills (TF-CBT, somatic relaxation) with processing techniques (EMDR, IFS), within a narrative talk therapy format. As a Latino and queer-identified practitioner, his view of therapy centers on the understanding that mental health concerns often stem from oppressive systems that surround our communities. Outside of the office, he engages in policy advocacy and organizing for LGBTQ+ New Mexicans. He is dedicated to creating a culturally resonant therapeutic space unique to each of his clients that fosters their well-being and resiliency, empowering them to actualize their desired life.
