Saxon (she/her) is a master’s of counseling student at the University of New Mexico. She deeply regards the honor that it is to vulnerably sit with clients of all backgrounds as they navigate the many seasons of life. She believes in the unique space created by client and therapist that allows for profound healing to happen.
Saxon is guided by a person-centered, existential approach that allows her to provide clients with an environment that feels accepting, understanding, and caring; she aims to cultivate this while gently challenging clients to examine their values and choices with non-judgement. She also applies a trauma informed approach that incorporates Internal Family Systems (IFS) inspired parts work as well as mindfulness and somatic techniques.
Saxon lives by a phrase shared by a mentor: “compassion is born at the womb of experience”. She is driven by a passion to help others feel seen in the depths and heights of their lived experiences.
