
Lanaiya (she/her) a graduate of New Mexico Highlands University with a masters degree in Counseling. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.
Lanaiya aims to provide services that represent a safe and healing environment for clients to grow and embrace their present selves. She also values a client’s cultural beliefs and background and believes that this plays a great role in identity. Lanaiya utilizes the frameworks of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered therapy to help individuals achieve their therapeutic goals. Working specifically with adolescents and adults who experience anxiety, depression, and trauma. She also focuses on providing clients with the tools to effectively cope with daily life stressors.
Lanaiya values the importance of support within a person’s life and hopes to assist in positive change within a client’s therapeutic process. She encourages clients to create their own solutions and regain their power back within themselves.
