Johanna is pursuing a master’s degree in social work from Western New Mexico University. With a background as an audiobook narrator and improv teacher, she brings her love of storytelling and creative connection to therapy, believing in the transformative power of the stories we tell—and rewrite—for growth and healing.

Passionate about supporting clients navigating grief, including miscarriage and other losses, trauma related to domestic or sexual violence, Johanna also works with clients facing anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions, helping them reclaim their voice and inner strengths. She integrates narrative therapy, existential frameworks, feminist theory, and mindfulness, while incorporating creativity and humor to help clients connect with their own narratives and find healing in unexpected ways.

Her practice is deeply rooted in social justice, and she emphasizes the impact of systemic issues such as racism, sexism, transphobia, and other forms of oppression on her clients’ lives.  Johanna incorporates mindfulness, somatic practices, and creative tools like bibliotherapy to help clients regulate emotions, reconnect with their bodies, and discover moments of joy. Through her collaborative approach, she creates a space where clients can explore their experiences with dignity, honesty and curiosity, develop self-awareness, and rediscover their strengths.
